Time zones suck. Keeping track of what time it is in Ause is annoying. While looking around, I came across New Earth Time. Its a very simple and intelligent way to measure time. Its based on the rotation of earth, centered in GMT. Example - 12 midnight in GMT is 0° 0’ 0". 9:30am there is the same as 138° 45’ 0". One degree is equal to 4 minutes - with 15 degrees in an hour. I think this is the best universal time I’ve seen to date. Check it out.

Or convert to GMT (+5 from EST) and multiply hours by 15 to get deg. Then divide 4 into your minues and add that to deg, and take the remainder and that's your minues. Then take your seconds and multiply that by 15. Divide that by 60 and add that to minues, and the remainder is your seconds. See, much easier! Well, I guess easier once everyone is using it.
