Steve, Brian, and I all went to see X2 (X-men 2 for those of you don’t watch any form of media) opening day at the 11pm showing. Geez, they did an amazing job this time around. I have to admit the first one wasn’t that great. I watched the cartoon show every Saturday as a kid, and that one just didn’t live up to the name. However, X2 is a whole other story. The opening scene really set the pace for the movie. It was great to see Nightcrawler, he was one of my favorites as a kid. And the fun didn’t stop there, the rest of the movie was filled with great action scenes, a good plot, and even well-placed humor. I also like how the ending left fans thinking one thing, and those who hadn’t watched/read X-men before wioth another. Yay Phoenix saga:wink:! My only real problem with the movie was that they didn’t work Gambit or Beast into it. They did show Gambit’s name at one point on a computer screen, so I assume he will be in X3 (I hope). All and all I have to say I was very happy with how the movie turned out, and I may even see it again. Too bad we have to wait so long for the next one .
On other notes, my last day of classes was Friday. I am very happy that this semester is over. I am of course going to miss college life, but I am in no way going to miss any of the classes I had this semester. I have two finals tomorrow, stat and physics. Neither of them should be that bad, however the stat final is cumulative, so that always leaves room for pain and suffering. After that I only have one final on Wednesday, IST 240 (object oriented design). After that its time to work 40 hours a week at Circuit City and then spend the rest of the time sleeping and coding. Yeah, this summer is going to be su much fun .
