A Lazy Man's Nightmare

Written at 7PM on Tuesday, November 19, 2002

That is the best way I can describe the past month. I have had so much work to do it isn’t even funny. I have actually needed to use time management. Mostly I’ve been working on the NSSF site. It launches in 10 days. I think it is going along very well. I still have a lot to go, but I should get it done on time. Then, in about two weeks, I will be starting work on yet another site. This will be a lot of php programming. I’m getting the hang of it, so it shouldn’t be too bad.

And of course, along with all the coding, I have been pulling 32 hours a week of work. Yes, I know, I am crazy. It’s stating to get busy with the holiday season and all. They are sticking me in digital cameras on busy days, so I get to play with a lot of cool toys, heehee. And yes, let us not forget school. 8 page paper due on Dec 10th, Spanish test on friday, presentation for IST 230 right after break...ugh. I find myself staying up later and later everynight.

And to top all of this stress off, Monday was the day from hell. I woke up at 10 to find out that the shower didn’t work, and wouldn’t be working till well after I had to go to work. Little did I know, this was an omen to the rest of the day. Then I sit down to do some work, and I notice that one of the sites I was working on got corrupted. Yeah, not good. So, I begin to fix that and guess what? My keyboard stops working. Yeah, not good. I tried new batteries to no avail. So, very pissed and not yet bathed, I headed off to work where I had to pay $67 for a new keybaord/mouse set (Elite Duo only comes with both). *Sigh* That was by far the worst day I have had in a very long time.

I still haven’t heard from my dad, which brings the count up to almost 6 months since we last talked. I have a feeling this is going to go on for quite a while, seeing as is he is moving to Fla. and all. Hell, I don’t even know if he is there yet or not. But no, no bitterness here.

Last week was my 9 month aniv. with Jess. I can’t believe it’s already been that long. We went out to see 8 Mile. It was a good movie, and not what I expected. Not the best I’ve ever seen, but still a good one. I really don’t think that I’ve been as happy as I have been with her for quite some time. I dunno, its just very nice :-).

Well, for now, its back to coding.
