Simple Fun

What Video Game Character Are You? I am Mario.I am Mario.

I like to jump around, and would lead a fairly serene and aimless existence if it weren’t for my friends always getting into trouble. I love to help out, even when it puts me at risk. I seem to make friends with people who just can’t stay out of trouble. What Video Game Character Are You?

On a serious and a humorous note...

I was reading Slashdot as usual this morning, and I found a very interesting post. I have to say this is one of the most dorkiest, and yet coolest things I have ever seen done. Congrats CmdrToco! Read the story here. And on a humorous note, Squirl Fishing, brought to you by the resources and time of the bright people at Harvard University! Lastly, Katy sent me this link, enjoy!

Interesting Fact

Written at 11AM on Wednesday, February 13, 2002

"Believe it or not, but 8:02pm on February 20 this year will be a historic moment in time. It will not be marked by the chiming of any clocks or the ringing of bells, but at that precise time, on that specific date, something will happen which has not occurred for 1,001 years and will never happen again. As the clock ticks over from 8:01pm on Wednesday, February 20, time will, for sixty seconds only, read in perfect symmetry 2002, 2002, 2002, or to be more precise - 20:02, 20/02, 2002. The last occasion that time read in such a symmetrical pattern was long before the days of the digital watch and the 24-hour clock - at 10.01am on January 10, 1001. And because the clock only goes up to 23.59, it is something that will never happen again."

A Minor Update (or four)

Written at 7PM on Sunday, February 10, 2002

I made a few changes to the site. You may notice that now there is a "statistics" sidebar. I wanted to be able to quickly look at that information without having to run a SQL statement by hand, so I wrote that bar :-). And yes, as you now see, smilie faces work. I figured it isn’t a true web log without being able to put in smilies. I also added the Interesting Downloads section. If is just a place where I will be posting interesting files that I have found in my browsing of the Internet. Lastly, the Game Review section is now up. Go check it out. That is all, for now.

Projekt Revolution

Written at 7PM on Thursday, February 7, 2002

I saw Linkin Park today in concert. Awesome! We started out having to wait in the cold for an hour just to get in. We were behind this stoned drunk country-esque looking guy (and yes, he said he was both stoned and drunk). After they let us in, we were entertained by DJ Z-Trip until the bands preformed. Adema and Cypress Hill opened for them. The interesting thing was that Cypress Hill decided to hit a bong while in the middle of the song. I found that very amusing. After about an hour and a half, Linkin Park came on. They did all of their major songs. We were maybe 15 meters from the stage. They are awesome live! The only downside to the whole thing is that there was this 9 year old boy who almost poked my eyes out many times while waving his middle fingers back and forth. But besides that, I enjoyed every minute of the concert and it was a well needed break from my ever so boring life.
